We have said time and again that the tactics used by scammers are now so sophisticated that anyone can fall victim to such criminal activity, losing huge sums of money that can be impossible to recoup. We call on the government not only to accept the joint committee’s current recommendations, but to widen the scope of the draft bill, thus ensuring that the public are properly protected from this illegal and damaging activity.
